MUD Ukulele Festival
May 9 & 10, 2025 was Mighty Uke Day in Michigan.
Plan on attending MUD in 2026! Just a day and a half of workshops, but fantastic concerts and vendors.

Last Thursday, May 1st, we had the pleasure of welcoming Dani Joy & Perry Stauffer to the Uke House for a fantastic workshop and concert! Fresh from the Allegheny Ukulele Soirée in Altoona, PA, they brought their talents to Ohio before heading to their next stop: Mighty Uke Day in Michigan as part of their Midwest tour. During the workshop, Dani taught a beautiful chord melody arrangement of Wild World by Cat Stevens, and their concert featured a delightful blend of contemporary tunes and classics.
Be sure to keep an eye on the Uke House events page—you never know when an artist is passing through Ohio. And if you know of any performers we should connect with, feel free to send them our way!

Workshop at 6 pm
Wild World Cat Stevens Chord Melody Solo
Looking for a song to obsess over to the point of OVER practicing? (Is there such a thing?) Cat Steven’s song Wild World is just the thing. This upbeat song covers a wide range of the fretboard while never holding down all 4 strings at once. You’ll learn to blend chord and melody, play some partial chords, open voicings and a handy little scale walk down in the middle.

Monthly Jam Sessions
The Uke House is now holding Monthly Jam Sessions! Two sessions are being offered a Beginner Jam and a Regular Jam typically on the last Friday of the month. Check out the day and time on the Events page. These are free sessions, just RSVP as space is limited.
Individual and Group Beginner Lessons
Individual and group beginner lessons are now being offered at the Uke House! Learn how to play the ukulele starting from the beginning. You will be taught techniques, chords, and songs to start your journey as a ukulele player. Lessons begin March 24th, registration is now open.
